Hey, I am new here. Diabetes runs in my family. I may be experincing symptoms of diabetes. Not sure. I am waiting for a friend to let my borrow her blood glucose tester. I am going to see where I am at. But I did use one of those ketone testers that you use with urine. 2 out of 3 times the color on the strip was at the first level (5mg/dl). the other time it was negative. could such a mild reaction just be a mistake and nothing to worry about, seeing as it was such a small level? or should i look into this further.

Are you on a low carb diet? Ketone strips help show that your body has reached ketosis by limiting carbohydrates. The only sure way of knowing you're diabetic is to go through the glucose test. Talk to your doctor it never hurts to know for sure.
