Does anyone have any knowledge about the best ways to support the kidneys?

I've never had any kidney problems, but since I'm currently taking an anti-viral (along with the anti-convulsant Lamictal), I'm trying to keep my body overall in as good a shape as possible.

I've concluded that my liver may be an important component in aiding in success with this endeavor, and am thinking maybe optimizing kidney function would be a good thing to do too.

    Any ideas?

I'm super-aware of the state of my adrenals, and have become even more conscious after my first go-round with the anti-viral (since it stressed them to their limit).

I posted about a week ago on adrenal health to see if anyone had additional suggestions. If you have anything that you personally would recommend on this topic, please let me know!

Thanks for the thought re the liver/kidney connection. That's a reassuring thought.
