Admiring the Christmas trees displayed in his neighbor's windows, a Jewish child asks his father, "Daddy, can we have a Hanukkah Tree?"

"What? No, of course not." says his father.

    "Why not?" asks the child.

Bewildered, his father replies, "Because the last time we had dealings with a lighted bush we spent 40 years in the wilderness."

Yes, I also subscribe to the daily jokes from BeliefNet. More often than not, I copy and post them here. I REALLY love them!

    Christmas Eve Accident

Three men die in a car accident Christmas Eve. They all find themselves at the pearly gates waiting to enter Heaven. On entering they must present something relating or associated with Christmas.

The first man searches his pocket, and finds some Mistletoe, so he is allowed in.

The second man presents a cracker, so he is also allowed in.

The third man pulls out a pair of stockings.

Confused at this last gesture, St. Peter asks, "How do these represent Christmas?"

    "They're Carol's."

I think that one is very cute and I'm Jewish. I remember that growing up we were never allowed to put a tree up or decorate. My mom was Baptist and my father was Jewish. :)

    Hugs & Merry Christmas!

LOL!! That was yesterday's joke from Belief Net! LOL

I thought seriously about putting that one up on the boards here, too, but forgot....

    Glad someone remembered!
