    Hi There,

This may sound like a stupid request,BUT I am not computer savy.I am lucky that I am able to do as much as I do.:>)

Anyway,I need a website that will give me the names of medications;their uses and side affects.

Also a website that I can go on and look up any health problems I need answers for.

If ANY of you could help me with this.I would really appreciate it!!!!

    Thanks a LOT!!:>)

There's good drug and health information website called
Medline Plus (US site). If you type that into your search engine it should bring up the link to the site.

As a nurse I go to Physician's Desk Reference (PDR. I also do a search FM (or CHF, autoimmune, etc)+ Name of Drug or whatever specific topic + research. I prefer to do reviews on Unversity's that are doing research studies.

Other useful sites are WebMD, and the goverment site www.cdc.gov (I think-brain fog moment!0.

Avoid site selling products to help insure accurate info

I go to Drugs.com. It helps me with the meds and the information on them. As for health problems I just put the name in like google and search for it......SueF

If you want to get abstracts of medical journals on your subject, use the search engine scholar.google.com.

I did not check you profile so I am not sure of your background so these are for non-medical professionals.

The Merck Manual Home Manual Second Edition has it all you might like it:

You might also want to check out Web MD just Google it.

Also check out Rx List again just Google.

All of the above are a little less technical and you may like them.

    Good luck,

    Karen :)
