Hi Mrpain, it's been a while since I've seen you on the board. I know you posted about an unpleasant reaction to 5HTP. Have you recovered from that? How are you feeling? I still haven't been able to pull out of this awful place I'm in. I don't know whether to call it a flare anymore because it's lasted so long. I just feel so sick....like I have a really bad virus or bacteria that is making me weak and ill. If I push myself to go to the library or to the store, it sets me back. ugggghh...it's just getting really old.

How are you coping? I'd love to hear from you.

It's always good to hear from you! I just happened to be passing through the board tonight and caught this post. It's been a while since I've been here but thought I would check in...

Sorry to hear your not doing well... I haven't been having a great month either.. Don't sleep well at nights and feel really lousy the next day. Maybe we both need to change our routine or something....Wish it was that easy!

What's the latest with you? Did your doctor give you any good advice? I saw my primary physician the other day and asked him if anything was new with fibro......He said no, and told me to come see him in 5 months and to do another blood test before I come to see him...

I guess he is keeping a check on my triglycerides because that's the only thing he has found to be wrong...other than sleep apnea.. Have you tried any new remedies, or therapies, or medications, or anything that you have found to help in any way?

Well hopefully and prayfully you'll start doing and feeling better soon, especially with the holidays almost upon us..Take care of yourself......

Prickles; I just wrote down your website, and when I get off the board tonight, I'll pull it up and check it out...
Hope your doing well also!! Take care!

Hello my friend, I just saw your response. It's very late and I'm totally exhausted...just spent 2 hours placing a vitamin order on ProHealth website....WHEW!! I really didn't order that much, it just took me a long, long time to weed through the different products and decide what I wanted to order.

Anyway, I'm much too gone to attempt an intelligent response to you, so give me a night's sleep (I'm such an optimist) and I'll get back to you.

    Great to hear from you!!!!

Well, it's taken me a while, but I'm finally getting around to responding to your post. I've posted here and there, but I didn't want to just give you a quickie response...wanted to wait until I had enough energy to chat a little. LOL...I keep waiting for that energy to come and it's not happening so I'm just not going to wait any longer. I'm sorry to hear that you're still not feeling well. I'm in the same boat. I really think it takes time and if we expect that, then it's a little easier not to get depressed when day after day there is no improvement.

You asked if I'm trying anything new. Yes, I'm trying a couple of things. I ordered the CD set from William Collinge, PhD. and I try to listen to one of the CDs every afternoon. They contain relaxation, breathing and visualization techniques which I am enjoying...it takes discipline to get into the habit of doing it daily. He's got a book that you can read online which I'm also enjoying entititled Recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Guide to Self-Empowerment.

I've ordered new supplements from ProHealth...Garlic, Calcium, Magnesium Plus, Ultra Primrose - too soon to tell if they are helping. I also take their Fibro formula Multi, DHEA, CoQ10 and a Cod Liver Oil pill.

I am resting a lot and am getting better at not pushing myself. One of the hardest things for me is to eat well. I'm working on that. I'm seeing an Infectious Diseases Specialist. He's tested me for Rickettsia Virus and Heavy Metals Toxicity. I haven't gotten the results back.

I guess I'm still so surprised that I am so sick. The fatigue is overwhelming and I still have the problem with my legs that makes it impossible to walk sometimes. Really the only thing that makes me feel better is to rest...either napping in bed or reading or watching a movie on TV. It's funny though, even though I feel so awful, I don't feel unhappy. I'm grateful for what I have and especially that I have a husband who helps me and understands to the best of his ability.

Well, I've done nothing but complain it seems. Tell me a bit about you and what your days are like. How is your sweet daughter? Thanks for your kind words about my anniv. pic. That was a good day.

Take care, my friend. I look forward to hearing from you when you feel up to it.

    Blessings,

    Lolalee
