I had a pacemaker implanted at the end of April this year. My natural pacemaker is working but I had total heart block, meaning that the electrical signal is not getting through to the ventricles. I had bradycardia, a slow hearbeat.

On the Pacemaker Club site there are others with FMS or CFS. Just wondering if it could be a connective tissue disorder or some other problem that makes bradycardia or tachycardia more common amongst people with FMS or CFS. Or maybe it isn't more common at all. I've already done lots of searching with Google.

    Yes, I do have a dual-chamber pacemaker! I've had it since 2002, I think.

I have heart problems for over 10 years. I have atrial fib, SVT, bradycardia, and congestive heart failure. I also have a heart murmur and an enlarged heart.

    Hugs,
    Janet

I guess pacemakers aren't more common in our population since there hasn't been much of a response. A few of the younger people (50-ish) in the on-line Pacemakers Club have CFS or FMS so I wondered if there might be a connection. Thanks for responding.

Thanks for the bumps, misskoji and darude!
