Hope everyone is doing well. Diane, my doc told me about Coricidin HBP for my allergies. It will not raise BP. I take the "Cough and Cold" formula but it works for allergies really well. One in the morning is all I need. We have tree pollen and mold right now as well as Red Tide. These are big time allergens and the Coricidin HBP gets rid of them as problems. If a Target is called a Super Target, they have a supermarket and carry food. Most new ones do. I buy my frozen Amy Mexican entrees there as they are about $1 less than at Publix. They just don't carry frozen gluten-free products. Pam, the old boss is still there? YIKES! Obviously not animal people. Also, obviously not people people. I'm sure you guys are really getting antsy for the house to be done. It won't be long. Ignore the blank stares. Some people are not educatable. One of my so-called friends is mad at me for not going to her husband's birthday party at the local Legion hall. They allow smoking, even though they do have the air scrubbers. This friend and another almost never talk; they scream like fishwives. In a crowd, everyone is screaming to be heard over them. OMG! Going to a place like that would be like going to hell. She told me that I should get over it by going to noisy places until my brain gets used to it. Huh? She can't eat spicy food and the next time she brings that up, I'm going to tell her that she should eat spicy food until "her brain gets used to it." Seizure activity and sensory overload are physical problems in the brain, not something that's "all in your head." With friends like this.... It's no wonder I have to take days off from exposing myself to them for my own sanity. Hope the house is done soon and the old boss and wife leave town. Leah, yes, even though I'm supposed to be tightening my belt, I can resist flowers. In the really hot summertime down here, most flowers won't thrive. I don't know why. They develop flowers for our zone, 11, but still, they don't stay looking good in the summertime. We are inside most of the time in the summer so flowers aren't as important then as they are now. I water our flowers and citrus trees by hand to ensure they don't dry out. I have a Gardenia plant which is blooming out on my Lanai. It's so beautiful and fragrant right now. Barb's orchid is blooming just as the blooms on mine are starting to fail. Our lemon trees are in bloom and we even have a couple of baby lemons on them. Granni, my old clonazepam pills were a very light yellow color, almost white. These new ones are neon blue and are more potent. I may cut back on my dose a bit. They are starting to work faster than when I first took them. Hope you got some of that fish. I loooove fish. Well, I paid dearly for that hamburger I ate on Thurs. with the bun. I had decided to test my wheat allergy and I should know better. I was OK Thurs. after the initial stomach distress passed (literally however, yesterday, I spent the whole morning on the toilet. I know, I know, TMI. From now on, no more wheat. I feel as though some kind of allergy or cold is trying to get to me this morning. I woke with the roof of my mouth sore, my sinuses stuffy and a headache. I took my Corididin HBP and some acetaminaphen. I will add extra vitamin C, echinacea and zinc. It's probably just allergies but am taking no chances. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the Irish Festival. Despite feeling horrible yesterday morning, I did get the dishwasher run and my bed turned and changed. I didn't get my hair cut so that's on today's agenda. I will be stripping the slipcover off the sofa and washing it. This is a true slipcover which came on the sofa. It fits like a glove and is a struggle to get off and put back on. I've found the secret is to put it back on before it's completely dry. Parts of it have to be ironed, like the skirt, armrests, and one side. Then, I have to remove the covers on the cushions and pillows and wash them. This sofa is a light neutral denim. Usually, I don't have to wash the slipcover but it's time to do it. The skirt gets dirty. The cushions are like a featherbed and when I removed the covers, there are feathers all over the place. Looks like I pluched a chicken. OK, gotta close this "W&P" post. My best wishes for a wonderful day for everyone. Love, Mikie Poor old Simon must have just vomited when I went out to feed him; it was fresh. He tried to jump off my chair but got a little on the pad. I will have to wash it. I'm waiting for it to dry on the balcony so I can try to sweep it up. I think he got a bad rat. He ate the food I put out and if it doesn't stay down, I hope he deposits it elsewhere.
