Is anyone familiar with new info from research by Dr. Woods that MRIs show people with fms are low in dopamine? Just interested in finding out more info. Thanks Jennie

there are several drugs( requip, sinemet, mirapex) that address this for parkinsons, rls, and now fibro. is anyone having success? what are the side effects? do they speed you up or make you sleep? who has taken these drugs the longest? can an mri really show this? thanks for any answers that haven't already been posted.

So I am familiar with Dopamine. I have an appt. with an endocrinologist in a few weeks and hope I can get some questions answered. Was diagnosed last year with FM. I stopped smoking cigarettes about 2 years ago and after 8 months started up with cigars but not too many per day- 5 little Murials. I really do feel better when I smoke. When off, I am impossible to be around. My primary says he is alright with that. There seems to be a correlation between nicotine and lack of dopamine in the brain.
