I have not been able to taste and enjoy food for a couple of months - no I didn't lose any weight LOL - and my Rheumy tested my zinc levels and it was quite low. Has any doctor told you that zinc helps the taste buds? The doc was the one who linked the zinc and taste together but they don't know what to do for it.

I assume that a zinc supplement would help, but I rather not add any more supplements/meds to my day. Any one have any suggestions for foods with high levels of zinc or other ideas. Thanks...

Calf's liver (ugh if you ask me), spinach, mushrooms, oysters, shrimp. Other meat and dairy also.

I used to like liver as a child...my mom made us eat it once a week. Not so much now - and mushrooms are even worse then oysters & spinach. I think I need to take a supplement but thanks!
