Lyme in Europe

    It says this on the wikipedia page about Lyme disease:

    "Borrelia burgdorferi is the predominant cause of Lyme disease in the US and Borrelia afzelii and Borrelia garinii are in Europe."

    I just sent my blood to Igenex for a western blot. However, if I have Lyme disease, I most likely picked it up while in Europe, as that was where I'd been living for several years when I started getting symptoms.

    If Europe has a completely different strain of LD bacteria, will the Igenex WB pick it up? Eek.
