lyrica

    I have read a lot of posts about this is it a pain killer?
    who prescribes it a rheummy doc?

    it's primarily given to diabetics for nerve pain, but they have discovered that it also seems to work for a lot of people with FM pain.

    any doc can prescribe it. i was given it by my PCP. it is, however, not without side effects for me. it has helped the excruciating pain, but i do still have pain - and sometimes it is still excruciating (but not every day like it was). i have numbness and tingling that is almost constant in my legs and feet (only since taking the lyrica). it also makes me feel "high" and intoxicated.

    all that being said, it's still better than being in that horrible pain!
