If I asked you a few questions. You have always been a great help and I aprreciate that.
Disclaimer: Have a doctors appt on Tuesday and will be asking him these questions too (for those who do not like us asking medical questions to our on-line friends).
    1. What to do about edema? I have been drinking tons of water but my legs and ankles are swollen. Not to the point of dimpling. Just acky and heavy.
    2. I take 15mg of Roxicodone per night for restless legs. Have been on this dosage for 2 yrs. In your proffesional opinion could this be why I am so tired all the time?

I have been diagnosed with FMS and am anemic. Doc gives iron IV about once amonth. Ferrotin level was at 9 before starting treatment now at 68. But, I have never got any energy boost from the iron levels going up. Will be discussing this with FMS specialist. Just wondering dear friend on how you treat your patients for edema. After ruling out other conditions.
    Be blessed,

    Hey, Judy!

Are you by any chance taking ZMA? That caused my legs to swell, perhaps it could yours also.

    Just a thought, Loonie >^..^<

never been on zma..but thanks for the heads up. I am always trying something new.
Madwolf.. thanks again for the reply. I will ask this new doc to do the iron tests you suggested. The klonapin (sp) was the first thing they tried and truthfully I did not give it much of a chance. I thnk I should have taken it with the roxi to take the edge off. It is my understanding that it takes a while for the anti-seizure med to work. At that time I was desperate. Doctor gave the roxi for the pain and electricity I expained. As for sleep I am lucky if I get two hour intervals. I wake up jerking as soon as I try to get into the stage 4 sleep. What a dreadful state. The vitamin c is also a good place to start. I take 1000mg daily. Have no problem with uping the dose. But, will have to plan to be around a bathroom.
    thanks again.

for RLS, it is a drug that they use to treat Parkinson's Disease. I haven't tried it yet because I haven't needed it lately. Anyone else ever use this for RLS?
