I had posted a few weeks ago about how Social Security is making me pay back Medicare premiums to March of this year. I had gotten several different answers from them about how to get the premiums back. The final answer came today at my appointment. I cannot get the premiums back - I have to pay for it even though I couldn't use it. If I were to opt out, I couldn't get back in until next year and would have to pay an extra premium. I think this is terrible but there is nothing I can do.

Let this serve as a warning for anyone getting back pay.

Luckily I got my SSD and Medicare effective the first of January (of that particular year).

Yes, you are right. They have all sort of 'rules'. Would you believe my money was held up because they had to use my Passport to check any other country I was in and if I did any kind of work there.

    Yeah, right.
