    Hi:

    Thanks for responding to my post on the guai treatment. You said that you found a sal-free sunscreen at Walmart. We have a Walmart in my town. Could you tell me what this product is called? If we can't name specific products here, I can give you my e-mail address.

    It's really important that I wear sunscreen (as it is for everyone), but especially since I had skin cancer a couple of years ago.

    Thanks again.

    You're quite welcome. I went out to the garage to check and couldn't find it ... I guess our sunscreen is out on our boat right now. I'll try to remember to check for the name, either next time on the boat or at Walmart. :) I do remember that the one I bought for ME was lower SPF (about 15) and was an oil. But I bought some for the boys too, and I try to make all their products sal free too.

    Don't worry too much right now, sunscreen is too important for your to skip, so just keep on the lookout for sal free ones. Have you seen this quick guide from St. Amands' site?:

    This is a simple screening test for salicylates. It may screen out some ingredients that are innocent, but for sure will not let any salicylates in.

    1. Do the ingredients have any plant names or the word "extract" in them? (should be "no")

    2. Do any of the ingredients have the syllable "sal" in them? (should be "no")

    3. Are the ingredient names long and hard to pronounce, words that you would not use in normal conversation, and do some of them even have numbers in them? (should be "yes")
    (With thanks to Anne Louise, Admin team member.)

    I use this guide because it is easy to remember when I'm out in the dark holes called stores. ;-)I'll post the name when I can, hope the other info is helpful in the meantime. Warmest regards,
    Hayley

    Hi, Hayley;

    Thanks for responding back so quickly. I am on vacation next week and plan to do some shopping so maybe I will find this product at Walmart. In case I don't, I would appreciate you getting back with me.

    Thanks again.

    Here is the sunscreen list from Tesa's site. The dates, I believe, are when they were added to the list or checked. But, be sure to double check with quick guide when you buy cause they are always adding that darn aloe to everything! Mary Kay might be a good option for you. :)

    Thanks for the list of sal-free sunscreens. This is longer than the list I had so I will definitely check it out. Thanks again for taking the time to do this.
