    Hi folks....

I was thinking of trying Mirapex (pramipexole) for Fibro.
Has anybody here tried it and what are your own feelings
    on this drug?

It was prescribed for me but I was too chicken to take it. It works on dopamine, right?

Was this prescribed for you by FFC?

I am still thinking of trying it.

Please keep us posted if you do.

But I've been on Mirapex for 6 years for RLS. It has been a lifesaver for me- otherwise, I couldn't sleep since I'd be walking all night.

Mirapex at .25 controlled RLS for me. At .75 it helped control my appetite, which has always been revved up for me. I was really glad to not be bothered by hunger constantly. I heard that at higher doses, it also works well for FM, but by then I'd started on Xyrem. I came off the mirapex because xyrem takes care of RLS and the 2 together can become a problem (too much dopamine in the brain). I was getting shaky in the morning until I stopped taking the mirapex.
