I have a friend that was diagnosed with CFS and Fibro. Then
later she was diagnosed with MS. Is there any relationship
between MS and Fibro/CFS? I have heard that some people
believe that CFS/Fibro could possibly be connected to lupus.
What are your thoughts on this?

    Hello Dreamharp -

My doctor and I had a brief discussion on this my last visit. She believes fibro. is a virus that attacks the body and then leaves you with the wreakage. She said that in her experience, some people improve and get better, some people hold their own and some people go on to develop other autoimmune diseases.

She told me that she wants me to go see the Rheumy at least once or twice a year to get blood work and see if anything else is going on.

Based on the community here, I think that she's pretty close to the truth - some people do get better, some people have gotten worse, and some people are stable but still have fibro.

and check out the library here and the national CFIDs foundation. They claim that this virus causes CFS, MS and idiopathic epilepsy.
