    Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here has MTHFR mutation?

    What were the symptoms ?

My B12 levels are always around the highest end of the range and I sometimes get burning sensations when I wear rubber shoes or sit on a rubber cushion. Homocysteine levels are fine.

I dont have access to a MTHFR test here in India but is there any other way to know this ? Would a Urinary methlymalonic test help ?

I have started taking Vitamin b12 500 mg 3 times a week and methly folate 400 mcg daily - is this good ?

    With love,

Did you mean 500mcg. Is it a sublingual form? The usual dose is 1000mcg daily. B12 is completely safe with no known problems with a higher dose.

I am pretty sure Shoemaker diagnosed me with that. Apparently he isn't practicing anymore and we never delved into solutions for that. I have his you want me to see if I can find anything?
