For those who don't know. This is written by my Father, an Ordained Minister who has gone Home to his final resting. He was infected with the AIDS virus doung a quadruple bypass. He shared his gifts of love with the World.
This is a favorite of mine and I hope it will Bless you as well.

My Prayer by Paul Cook Sr

Lord, I come to You today,
as a shapeless lump of clay, fit for nothing but to be trampled under foot of man.
Put me on your potters wheel,
shape me Lord until you feel,
that I'm a vessel that can fit into Your master paln.

    Pour into this vessel, God,
    lots of Your redeeming love,
that I might minister love to all I meet,
and bring in the harvest to lay at Your feet.

Lord, my prayer and all I need,
is to be able, Lord to feed,
the hungry, with no bread to eat,
and have no shoes upon their feet.

Lord, all I need myself today,
is just the strength along the way.
To help my brother on the road,
and help to bear his heavy load.

O God, make me a cup of giving,
for others, I would ask, a living.
Not so much for ease or rest,
but peace for all and just Your best.

Thanks for listening, to my plea,
and thanks for all You've given me.
I thank You for Your matchless love,
and for the answers to the above.

A great poet he wasn't, but a great man of God, husband & father he was.

Thank you Jackie, for introducing your father to us. Just by his words, you know what a kind and caring man he was. How wonderful it must have been to grow up with him. Now, he is at God's knee, expressings these very words and more to Him, sharing the talent that our Holy Father gifted him with. With many blessings and heart strings, Deena

the wonderful words of wisdom from your beloved Father.

It must have been a treasure of memories to have had an earthly Father with such great faith and a giving heart.

Thank you for sharing this memory with us.
