    Hi:

Not sure where in LA you are. My PCP is great. She is the one who dx me with FMS 5 years ago. I still see her and she keeps up to date on new treatments and other options. Her name is Evelyn Dowell and she is in Torrance.

    Good luck.

I really need to get a specilist that knows the latest in treatments. How has she treated you in the past?

I went to a Ranan Shahar in Los Angeles, he uses the Profilax to put your atlas in place permanently. I had it
done 2 months ago and returned 1 month later and it was
still in place. The only thing he stressed you must do
is get a deep tissue massage once a week. He is not a
specialist for fibro but uses this technique so your body
can heal. My C1 or Atlas was out (several chiropractors
have checked me). The only problem is chiropractors do
not have an adjustment that will keep it in. The Profilax
is like a big hand massager that he uses on your muscles &
ligaments around your atlas, after 10 or 15 minutes of
massaging the atlas falls into place. I am improving, I am sleeping well for the first time in 8 years. My fog is
gone, anxiety gone, pain is gone except for aches around
the neck and shoulder which the massage helps, fatigue is
gone except I still have some tiredness. I feel I am
healing but not 100% yet. Shahar is an acupuncturist and
chinese medicine, he is originally from Israel. I have had
hundreds of adjustments on my C1 from chiropractors and
have had improvement but this treatment is not an
adjustment and I do not ever need C1 adjustments again.

in Beverly Hills is very good. He is a rheumatologist. He will prescribe Xyrem if you have problems with sleep. He did the clinical trials on that and usually has ongoing clinical trials going on. He is one of the authors of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Fibromyalgia.

    Good luck.
