The only thing I can think of is to ring the accident and emergency department and ask there. I'm not sure what the meds are as I'm not on any meds at the moment.
    Good luck hope this helps.

    Wishing you pain free days

    Thank-you!!
I've tried for many years, about 17, not to use meds. Tried most Vits and Min. and alternative therapys.

I needed these to get my life back even a little bit.
What do you take??? I'd try anything !!! I know that each person is different..

i'm not sure what your concern is?

was it that you wanted to take the other meds, and didn't know if you should now that you've taken the ultram?

or that you are afraid that you took too much ultram? you should propable call an advice nurse for these ?'s.

    wishing you the best

Yes, I need to know if I can now take the soma, and ambien.

I know that the Ultram won't hurt me. It's been 4hrs since I took the ultram the time before I took these by mistake.

Do you have any ideas/ info ???

I have only recently been dx with fibro and because I am breastfeeding my little girl I can't take any meds. Some days are really good with pain at a low ache and others it can be very painful......I just keep going as I know I have to there isnt anything I can take safely. A nice massage each night always helps or just sitting down and destressing. I have learnt other than when something major happens like when my bestfriend died last month to just not let things worry me all it does is create pain which doen't help me in any way.
I have had bad pain since my car accident in 95 but have always had some sort of pain for as long as I remember.
So what works for me I wish it could work for all. The days that are good are the ones I get out and enjoy my family more. I do try and do what needs to be done and not let this DD stop me from what I want or need to do. That doesnt always work though.
Wishing you all the luck in the world getting yourself pain free with or without meds.

    Luv
    Lyn

Yeah, Lyn you have a baby girl! Sooo Happy that you can be med free. It's the best thing! Even better is having that baby. It makes me smile. I have 8 grandchildren and love being with them when I can.
Thanks to you too. MeToo10 for your message.
I'm just sooo tired. Thank you for your help.

    Love, Selma

well it's been six hours now since you took the ultram. i would think it would be alright now to take your regular meds now.

BUT if you have a concern about it, i'd call the advice nurse. and if you don't have such a thing in your area, then maybe you could call a hospital and they could direct you better.

seems like you'll have a good night, being tired and ready for bed.

wishing you a good night sleep!!!

I took way more than that for many years, and all of them at once. Should not have been any problem.

    BUT for future ref:

How did this happen? Work to make sure this never happens again.

I used to have a heck of a time trying to remember when & how much I had already taken. Then I decided to keep my meds so I could tell, at a glance, where I was in my meds.

I was able to take 4-8 vicodans per day, So, I started each day out by putting the whole day's allotment out and then it was easier to 'see' where I was in my meds. This might be difficult if you have small children or are where too many people have access to where you are storing your meds.

I learned to set out all my meds, along with hubbies; so they are set in a coinvenient manner for remembering them.

I hope this helps. Odds are, you are still sleeping!

    Sweet dreams!

    HI,

I am pretty educated in the medical field especially when it concerns medication. I was a nurse for 19 yrs. before I developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, and the usual bunch of uncomfortable ailments that has altered my life in every way. I had been healthy until I was hit by a car, breaking 11 bones and I have been feeling like a fragile old lady since. My experience with Ultram both as patient and nurse is that it does not releive anything but mild pain and I could not tolerate the side effects of sweating and nausea. Most M.D.s know its a waste of your time but are so paranoid over controlled substances and fear being seen as an advocate of opiates that they do whatever it takes to please the Regulation Brd.
They will let you spend what little money many unemployed disabled and extremly desperate men and women have left, knowing fully well you will suffer, and they too suffer much with the guilt of knowing they are cowards. They will resent you for their own failings. Have you noticed any change in the doctor/patient relationship. I have and it is very sad.

I was referred to a wonderful pain specialist by my regular doctor, who was honest and told ne he could'nt order pain meds.in the amount I need. I could go on and on but I think you understand the situation all too well. I hope you remain hopeful and know you will improve. I am determined to improve. I'm only 46 and will live life fully or die.
Take Care, Liz M.[This Message was Edited on 08/23/2002]
