Hi..I was diagnosed with FM last year by my family physician. She stopped practicing medicine a few months ago and now I'm looking for a new General Practitioner. I have a rheumatologist who told me to "join a gym, the only way to feel better is to PAY for it", and the doctor that is replacing the good doc that diagnosed me tells me to "take a couple of ibuprofen, that should help with the pain". I'm looking for a good Family Doc that understands and can refer me to a knowledgeable specialist. Having an HMO doesn't help, I need to be referred to the specialist by my primary doc. I live near Philadelphia, Pa. Anyone know of a doctor?

To the board Caroln, glad to have you join us. The board is going to be slow with the holiday this week, but hang in there I am sure someone can help you with a good doctor in your area.

In the mean if you go to the 'Home' page on the top left of this page, it will bring you to the 'Doctor Referrel' list on the left side of the Home page. There are good doctors listed by state there that were recommended by members.

I hope you find a good one to work with you soon.

AGain, welcome and hope we hear from you often.

    Shalom, Shirl
