I find it easy to pray for others and I have seen so many times where God has answered those prayers for others so swiftly. It seems as if when I pray for myself asking for something tangible there is never a swift answer. I feel confident that God hears my prayers for others and I know that they will recieve His blessings and thier needs will be met.

Help me oh Lord to hear your instructions, am I asking you for the wrong things? Are you just telling me NO!! Hear me as I call out to you oh Lord my God hear me I pray I am lost without you. Father God there is no place I can turn but to you.

    Please pray for me,

and He loves you very much! Always remember that!

HIS ways are not ours though, and sometimes we want and /or expect an answer (immediately) to our prayers...

Many times He takes time to consider whether answering right away would be best for us.Sometimes what we think would surely be the answer or key to relief would actually cause more strife and problems, especially if it is something we are not prepared or ready for.

Like a good father, He only answers our prayers and requests in ways that He knows will be best for us- even if it seems that we will be disappointed or grieved for a while.

God knows your heart, and has HIS plan for your life-
    Remember Jeremiah 29:11 -
"For I know the plans I have for you,(declares the Lord),
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Surrender to Him, allow God to work through you - no matter what the outcome is- trust in Him completely and He will give you the desires of your heart- things that will bring you love and joy. IN HIS TIME.

    My prayer for you:
Thank you God for sending your Son Jesus for us!

Father, please bless your child with your love, help her to lean on you in times of trouble, hear her prayers and examine her heart, Lord, show her your mercy and kindness.Let her know now that you are listening, not just to her prayers, but the prayers of many FOR her.
YOUR will be done, and we give YOU all the glory.Amen.

I agree with Nymama, HIS ways are not ours though, and sometimes we want and /or expect an answer (immediately) to our prayers.

When we don’t get an answer from our prayers immediately, We must remember God is still with us. We must remember God is always speaking to us, guiding us, pushing us, leading us, and filling us with His love, and pouring His compassion into our hearts.

I will certainly be praying for you.

Sometimes we do ask for the wrong things, and God denies our request because He knows better. He sees our lives from beginning to end. He knows the perfect time to answer our prayers. It's trusting in Him through those times that He has our best interest at heart.

I've found comfort in the words of the following verse, and hope that it comforts you as well: Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[1] who[2] have been called according to his purpose.

    Only by grace,

I understand those feelings at times. You have gotten many good responses which I agree with. The responses blessed me also. Know that you are not have many brothers and sisters who share in the same sufferings as you and also the Lord who is with you through his Holy Spirit (paraclete)...the one who walks along side of you and will be with you and me:)

you are not alone. I too wonder sometimes, is there a need for me to confess and repent something that I have not done... is there a reason I see others who have "God" moments all the time in there lives and I continually pray for healing, peace...or other "things". I ahve noticed that sometimes if I take a moment and look around.. I am blessed... I am a child of His and I need to be still as He instructs me to be.. to not compare others.

So friend.. know you are not alone...and I will lift you up to the Throne.

Thank you all for your prayers. I know that God has a plan for me and maybe a part of it is earnestly praying for others.

Sometimes it just seems as if I must have descended from the tribe of Job.

i always admired Daniel, He didn't care what men thought of him, he didn't give in or have a pity party, he trusted God and had no fear of what men could do to him.

I pray Lord God that I can have that kind of faith and trust in you, I know your blessings are on their way and that my time and your time are not the same. Speed your blessings to me and all those here on this board.

people have told me that I am not healed because I do not have enough faith.
I also wonder why I have been robbed from my health and other things.
I can't say that God does not answer any of my prayers, but I have been so sick lately that sometimes I'm confused by it.

    Dear Lord
please here Grge's prayers this day, show her a sign and that you care.
send your Holy Spirit and allow her to feel your presense and that she may know how much you love her.
    in Jesus name I pray
    luv lisa

Well, from what I've seen Grge, you do an excellent job praying for others. We are all so blessed to have each other support and pray -- because, especially if it's a health issue, though each case is different, we understand. I pray that God will heal you and give you peace and comfort in your challenges and undertakings. I too, am trying to hear the instructions of the Lord, having no choice but to walk by faith. However, we all would like to have our walk and blessings in 'sight.'We are often reminded about God's Timing and Will. But, sometimes the wait is so long and the struggle goes on. You have gotten great responses here and we continue to be blessed by them. God be with us All as we, hopefully, receive swift answers.
