    Good Morning Wonderful People!

I pray that today is one of your "better" days! (smile) As for me, I cannot seem to tolerate sunlight anymore. I used to enjoy it so much. I've been "on" and "off" so many different meds for fibro, I kinda sorta contribute the sensitivity to them. It's not just the sensitivity that bothers me so much because I carry a parasol when I absolutely "must" go out for doctor appointments. What concerns me most is that even after short stints in the sun, I am absolutely drained. My Rheumy agrees that the meds could trigger the sensitivity but he looks at me weird when I mention being drained. Heck! I'm not making it up!LOL My goodness, I haven't been on here in so long, I'm just rambling away! Please forgive me!(smile)

The reason for my post is: I have a very close friend who lives in Philadelphia, Pa. She is experiencing a lot more health issues than I am (& I have a lot) but won't go to the doctor on her own. Her neighbor has been checking in on her, but recently sold her home & will be moving out of the state. I have another friend who volunteered to "fill the void" if I can find a doctor. She has been having severe migraines for almost 2 months & I want her to see a very good neurologist. Any place other than "Jefferson Hospital", please. Jefferson is in center city & I "know" I can't get her to do that! I've already mentioned that hospital to her. Can anybody please assist me with the name of a Headache doctor in or around the Philly area? I would really appreciate it.

    PS I "truly" am hurtin.(smile)

    Dear Hurtin:

Sorry, but I do not have any doctor for your friend. I am writing because I read your post and thought you might look into LUPUS. My dad had Lupus and there became a time when the sunlight really bothered him. He had to put sunscreen on even if he stayed inside, and just was exposed to sunlight through the windows.

Just thought I might mention it to you.

where does your friend live? County or town would be helpful.

Also, Jefferson has satellite or affiliated sites on the Main Line in Wynnewood, Bryn Mawr & I think Paoli. UPenn has sites in Radnor, etc. If you find a specialist chances are they may also be in Center City as well as the burbs.

    Hi ephemera!

Thanx so much for that information. The locations you give all sound excellent. Any idea how I can get info on these sites? You know what? As I'm typing, I'm saying to myself, call Jefferson Hospital silly me! Ha! Ha! Thanx again! I wish everybody better days.
