Just a note to say I saw the CBS national news tonight & there was Dan Rather, et al. talking about Neurontin & use as a substitute for estrogen replacement meds. Seems some women happily found relief from hot flashes, etc.

Now maybe I as long as I use Neurontin I don't have to dread menopause & peri-menopause so much & I can manage my pain, too.

    Best thoughts.

with it. I took Neurontin on 2 separate occasions and had many side effects from it; plus it didn't work for me. I'm going to stick with my estrogen/delatestryl injections. I'm really interested to hear how it does as hormone replacement though. I'd never heard that before.

Hi, i have been on neurontin for about 3 months now after i was taken off my hormones due to blood clots. I get hot all over to the point of sweating at least 1 to 2 times per hour 24/7. I wish it would work as hormone replacement for me but it sure does not. Rose
