hi. i'm sleepytime and new--joined today. have had fibro and cfs for about 4 years. 4long years of pai. depression and crying. i have fairly good doctors but lately i have soooo depressed i don't know what to do. and the crying-for no reason at any time. as a family we are going through many financial problems----i had hep. c ---underwent a terrible treatment and at the beginning we had to pay for the mes on our own,1700.00 a month was hard to cough up--we're still paying for the way i had hep c and right after i finished the treatment i was diagnosed with fibro and cfs. another patient of my gp had the same thing happen to her. what does everybody use when the deppresion is so deep. i'll take anything into concideration

Wow, you are dealing with a lot - no wonder you're depressed. There are many of us on the board with depression issues, they seem to go hand in hand with the fibro. I take celexa (citalopram) and it's worked well for me. You need to find one that works for you, there are many available. See your doctor right away. You shouldn't be crying for no reason at any time.

Counselling might also be helpful for you, just because you are dealing with so many stressful things in your life. Contact your local health unit, they should be able to give you the name of a community services place near you that offers counselling on a sliding fee scale (you only pay what you can afford).

I'm in Ottawa. Where are you? Add your location to your profile if you can.....there are many other Canucks here and we may be able to give you more specific local info.

My heart goes out to you. I wish you well, and welcome! nature

Hi, I am kind of new here myself. Sorry to hear of all your problems, health issues are very depressing.
I would advise you to get to a specialist that knows all about fybro, a rhumy.
As far as meds, I agree it is trial and error, but all meds need to be closly monitored. And by all means ask for samples to try befor filling a prescription. Talk to the doctor and make sure that you tell them of the depression problem... they might refer you to someone else for that.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

So sorry you are dealing with so many things at once. Sure hope you get some help soon.

I do not have depression, but the FM is enough to make anyone depressed by itself.

Take care of yourself, and again welcome to the board.

    Shalom, Shirl
