I've been using more cinnamon daily, in my green drinks and always in my coffee grounds...and just bought some cinnamon caps and take them during the day when I think of it. For the last 5 yrs or more, I sleep pretty good but wake up dragged out....always thinking it's low cortisol and just dragged out from chronic body pain. So last night, for some unknown reason, I took a 375mg Cinnamon before bed and I was not as dragged out this morning....have to believe the cinnamon helped with blood sugar levels during the sleep time. I checked online: Cinnamon before bedtime And got a lot of hits. So there is definitely something to keeping our blood sugar levels supported, even while sleeping....maybe even more so when sleeping. Do your homework and research on cinnamon and don't overdose...go slowly and see how you feel. I buy powder cinnamon in bulk at one of our health food stores here and use that in my drinks. My pendulum is positive on Cinnamon for me and for the waking up issue too.
