My doctor put me on a new medication that is new on the market for restless legs. It is called Requip. I had great results the first night I took it!!!
It has not helped my insomia, but I can lay in the bed without moving my legs all the time. I don't know if it is expensive as she gave me a two weeks sample pack.
I hope this continues to work for me. I have a history of medications working for a couple or three weeks then not being effective anymore. I think I build up immunity rather quickly to medications.
I hope if you try this it works as well for you.
    Yours in prayer,

I also have Restless Legs Syndrome. Thanks for the info on the new med. My doctor has me on Gabitril, which helps pretty well.

I was put on Requip in September. I have severe restless legs. It did take awhile for it to work as you have to work your way up to the dosage of 1 mg. This drug is the only drug approved by FDA for restless legs . . . that was back in May 2005.

I'm happy with it as I just can't deal with these legs.

I hope this is helpful. That's my two cents worth. :) Best of luck.
