    Hello everyone,

I have a new name but my profile is the same.

I have been around for a little while.

    But, I never introduced myself.

I am older than most of you [I get my old age pension cheque].

I have had fibro for a long time.

It started to bother me about 30 years ago.

I take the recomended vitamins and suppliments plus prescibtion meds.

I saw my dr. the other day and he gave me something different for pain. The med. is cesamet.

I am in less pain today but I feel pretty tired.

It seems you can't have one thing better without another getting worse. Oh well.

Thanks all for the good advice and support.

This message board is a great! Denamay

    Hi Tandy,
I used to be arrlyn, I had my name changed because it is too close to my proper name.

Yes, 30 years is a long time, I hate to say it, but my condition has gotten worse over the years.

I think I have tried most of the meds. etc. available to no avail.

    So now I am Denamay

    Hello, Denamay!

I, too, have hurt for more than 30 years. I have had fibro and lupus since I was around 10 but the docs did not know what it was then. So actually, I've hurt for 44 years!!!

I take a ton of meds because I have a ton of things wrong with me. But for fibro, Cymbalta, Neurotin, and Zanaflex have helped me the most.

I have never heart of Cesamet for pain. What pain meds do you consider it better than - stuff that you have already tried?

Read your bio. I also have adult children - 3 to be exact, and 2 grandsons. Married for almost 35 years to a great man.
