I noticed people are saying to name this illness after a doctor. I do not thing any particular doctor discovered it. It is bellieved that FLorence Nightingale had this disease for many years in the last half of her life and was often bedridden. Thats about the earliest mention I know, so I suppose it could be called the Nightingale Disease.
I havent read all the suggestions yet as I am new to this discussion.
Someone said we call it ME in Canada, and its true people use that because it is used in UK, New Zealand, Australia etc, but more people know it as CFS.
Oh except my new elderly cardiologist who says it is all in my head and I better exercise more then I would not be so tired. (He is now my ex-cardiologist!!LOL)
