I just joined this site this afternoon. I live in Northern California and am wondering if I do have Fibro. I have been diagnosed with bursitus in my right shoulder.. I'm wondering if that's really what it is. I have pain all down my right arm, in my left hip and down my left leg to my toes. I hurt all the time. No pain reliever seems to help at all. I need to find a specialist I'm sure.
    Thanks for your help

I love Northern California...I bet its just lovely this time of year.

Glad you found this site. While I don't have FM, but just CFS, there are so many here that can offer you support. Its a great place to hang-out. Also, if you click the message boards box, at the top, you will find other boards, including the chitcat board.

    Once again, welcome!

Thanks everyone. And thank you sister. I need to know if there is a Dr. in my area that someone knows of. I live about 20 minutes west of Sacramento near Roseville. My insurance is good, so I can usually go to whatever Dr. I want without a problem. I just want to find out what is wrong here. I'm in pain 24/7.

We're happy that you are here. Many of us didn't know for years that we have this DD. Good luck in finding a doc.

Welcome to the board! Don't limit yourself to a rheumy, there are other good docs who are excellent---
Some practicing Family Medicine, Pain Specialists, D.O.'s, etc. The most important criteria is that they are knowledgeable, they keep abreast of the research, have a large patient body comprised of fm and cfs patients, and are willing to go the distance with you--we are high maintenance patients, with a multitude of issues that need addressing. There is no place for arrogance here, there must be a good working relationship between patient and physician.
    Best wishes on your quest!
