I'm assuming that was taken along the gulf coast beach... you do look a bit chilly tho?

How neat to be able to walk along the dunes... do you live close to relatively unpopulated beaches? -- I hope the unpopulation isn't due to Katrina, tho.

    all the best,
    Victoria

This photo was taken in Virginia Beach on a previous vacation. I live about 50 miles north of the Mississippi Gulf Coast but do not go to the beaches there often. I do go down there to the casinos, though,on occasion. Katrina did much damage to our beaches but the rebuilding has begun. I just hope that our coast line doesn't get too upscale to where all you see are high-rise condomeniums and such.

I saw on your profile that you were a hynotherapist. Have you ever treated anyone for this DD? I posted a question about that just now.

Nope, I don't practice anymore. Don't have the energy, at the very least... what were you interested in doing with it tho?

    best,

One, I've always been fascinated with hypnotherapy and two, I just wondered if it could help in any way with the fog and fatigue.

I have been in what I'd call a mild hypnosis during a group session and it was AWESOM! This was more of a relaxation technique but I did go "out of body" for a bit until it scared me back to a normal state. I regret that I have only been able to go into that state only one other time but no longer can acheive it for some reason.

Anyway, I do beleive I could benifit from this to some extent but not sure how. If nothing else...just to be able to help releive the extreme stress I have been undr fro the past 6 years.

I just read your reply to my post and undrstand why you are no longer able to do this any more. So sad....

deep relaxation... which of course benefits the immune system and everything else too.

Also, you could try meditation - you can go into very deep states that way too that are equally beneficial to the body.

If you're interested in that, get Herbert Benson MD's book, The Relaxation Response. It's old you should find it cheap or in your library even... explains very simply how to meditate, exactly the way transcendental meditators do it actually (I've done that too, lol).

Hope this helps... I'll post this to your other post as well just for informational sakes... lol!

    all the best,
    Victoria

I have never seen your posts before, so nice to meet you! I joined back in July, so I haven't been here too long. That is a really pretty photo, you "look" healthy. :) I love the beach, I am in Southern California. I used to live in San Diego, so I was at the beach all the time. Now, I am about an hour north of San Diego, and about 45 minutes inland. But, I still try to get to the beach whenever I can. Hope you are having a great day! Kim :)

You are beautiful! I love your long thick hair. I have missed seeing you on the PH diabetes board.

I love putting a face with a name. I think it is one of the best things about this site is being able to do that. I do wish more would put their pictures up on the board. I have mine up with a mini profile.

Hope you are feeling well tonight. You are probably sleeping now as I'm a night owl. lol

    Hugs,
    Faye

Thank you, Kathleen. It's so nice to put a face with a name - and yours is beautiful. Love the beach too! That's where I "go" when I do my relaxing thing.

Can't spell yet this morning. Yet?!?! I used to be able to spell, let's put it that way.

I wish I could make seperate posts for each of you, but there are too many to name and remember. So thank you each for your kind compliments and replies. There are a couple of you whom I do remember for one reason or the other, so forgive me if you don't find a personal reply here.

Fleabitten_Percheron: That also is a lovely picture of you. I am so glad to see that you are in a Therapeutic Riding program. I am a Therapeutic Riding instructor (or used to be) and know first hand the benifits of these programs. I love percherons and we have a Percheron/Tennessee Walker mix in our program. She is our best mount and the students fight over who gets to ride her!

Ilovecats: As usual, I have been in one of those just "give up" moods to where I stop posting. Thank you for missing my posts on the Diabetes forum. I will start back today probably.

Boltchik: I remember viewing your profile before. I can't remember which posts I read of yours but I do remember that you had an intrigueing name and was curious about it.

    Thanks for the reply.

I am a huge San Diego Chargers Fan, their symbol being the lightning bolt. So, that's why I picked "boltchik". Hope you are having a good morning! Kim :)

What a nice photo! You have such a kind face - and what beautiful scenery! Am I correct to guess that it is the Gulf of Mexico?

    Thanks for sharing.
