Hi friends! How about a new song game??

Words or phrases that are repeated 2 or 3 or more times......
    in the title....
    in the lyrics/chorus, etc.

Hmmmm, I've thought of a few:

    SUGAR SUGAR, The Archies

MONY MONY, Tommy James and the Shondells

    HEY JUDE, The Beatles

    The chorus:
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude
Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude

I think y'all get the idea! :) Enjoy!

    Hugs, DIANE

OK, Diane, I'll give it a try. I'll give it a try.

BTW, sure you got enough "Nah, nahs" there?

With some of these songs the title is repeated. If not, I put the repetitious
    part in quotes.

Be-Bop-A-Lula, 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall
As Long As He Needs Me, Happy Birthday To You

Heartaches By the Number, Autumn Leaves
    The Unicorn, Sweet Dreams

El Paso :"The West Texas town of El Paso."
    The Rose: "Some say love..."
    America, The Beautiful: "America"
Come, Come Ye Saints: "All is well"

    Great post Rock!

I'll add another, or two, or three:

    JOLENE, Dolly Parton

    "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.........."

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Frank Sinatra

    TUBTHUMPING, Chumbawamba

"I get knocked down, but I get up again
You are never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down, but I get up again
You are never gonna keep me down"

    **************

I'm caught up in music mode today. Can y'all tell? :p

Play along....... tap your toes, hum a song or two.

    Hey, Diane

I knew Dolly Parton wrote Jolene, but never heard it before. It was a
number one hit in Canada as well as here. I always thought it was
a song about a boxer named Joe who was very lean 'cause he was
    always training.

My favorite Dolly CD is Honky Tonk Angels with Dolly, Loretta and
Tammy. Had a great new tune titled Sitting On the Front Porch Swing.
One of those songs that evokes a less frantic time.

Diane, good subject, I'll give it a try!

"Put Another Nickel In" in the nickelodeon, all I want is having you and music, music, music.

"I Could Have Danced All Night" I could have danced all night and still have asked for more.

"Mimi" Mimi, you funny little good for nothing Mimi...

"I'll Have a Blue Blue Christmas"

"All I Want For Christmas is My Two Front Teeth" my two front teeth, my two front teeth....

"Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" Salagadoola Mechika Boola Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo....
put them together and what have you got, bibbidi bobbidi boo.

"Sunrise, Sunset" sunrise, sunset, swiftly fly the years. One season following another, laden with happiness and tears.

    Hi Kids

Brrrr! It's cold here! 6 AM and the temp is 51 degrees. Gonna be 30 degrees
hotter in a few hours. Too cold to do a long post. I'm going back to bed.

Last night I was making a list of songs. Gordon asked what I was working
on. Explained. First song he said was Sugar, Sugar. I never even heard of it
    till you posted it, Diane.

OK, here are a few more for our collection.

Skip to My Lou, Take Me Along, Blue Christmas
You're The One That I Want (From Grease)

The Farmer In the Dell, Galveston, Jingle Bells
Toot, Toot, Tootsie (from the first talkie).

I Dreamed A Dream; Green, Green Grass of Home
Goober Peas; Hello, My Baby, Born Free

    Hi y'all,

I really enjoyed reading all these posts, watching the videos, remembering the songs y'all posted.

I seem to get more and more songs stuck in my head, randomly. So I better post some of them NOW. LOL

    ANGIE, The Rolling Stones

    "Angie, Angie ...."

ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK, Bill Haley and the Comets

"... We're gonna rock around the clock tonight
We're gonna rock, rock, rock, 'till broad daylight
We're gonna rock, gonna rock around the clock tonight..."

    YESTERDAY ONCE MORE, The Carpenters

    "...Every sha-la-la-la
    Every wo-o-wo-o, still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling, that they're startin' to sing's, so fine..."

JULIE DO YOU LOVE ME, Bobby Sherman

"Julie, Julie, Julie do you love me?
Julie, Julie, Julie do you care?
Julie, Julie, are you thinking of me?
Julie, Julie, will you still be there?"

    That's all for now, folks.

First one I thought of was 'Sugar Sugar' too.

    Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! - ABBA
    Honey Honey - ABBA
    Andante, Andante - ABBA
    Ring Ring - ABBA
    Girls! Girls! Girls! - Elvis
Fun, Fun, Fun - Beach Boys
    Get A Job - Silhouettes
Deck The Halls - Christmas Carol
    Edelweiss - Julie Andrews
Good Night Irene - done by various singers

I cheated a little; the first six I found online. The rest are ones I managed to think of in my own little pea brain.

I'm enjoying these. I have the flu of all things. Haven't had anything to compare with this since the 1950's! My tummy is doing dry heaves and the fibro is screaming. Got a fever and I'm using phenergan every few hours but haven't had much relief from the nausea. Hope all of you are well. GB

    Oh Lord, dear GB.

If you have to call paramedics for ride to ER then do it.

You could get dehydrated real quick and need IV fluids to perk you up and save your life.

    Hey, GB

Hope you're better. Is the phenegran helping? Never heard of it before, but
I read it is used as an antihistamine, sedative, and anti-nausea drug.

Getting the flu when one is chronically ill is double trudging, unfair
    and really rotten luck.

Thank you to all of you. I love the pretty cards and flowers and the cute, cuddly teddy bear! You are all so thoughtful.

I'm feeling better is the stomach department today. I just had half a piece of toast and orange juice. First food in about a day and a half.

The biggest problem today and last night is over the top pain in the back of my head, neck and shoulders and a fever of 100. The pain won't let me lie down so I'm sitting in a recliner chair. It hurts so much when I come in contact with the pillow or bed. Never had this before. Again, thank you my friends! GB

Ooh, ooh, a couple more that popped into my little pea brain--

The Little Brown Church In The Vale - many artists have recorded this old song
    Obladi Oblada - The Beetles

I try to play during the day but the songs don't pop in until the wee hours of the night. Oy!

    Oh Come, Come, Mikie

Isn't there a song from Fiddler On The Roof that starts with, "Oy, Oy"?

I remember when Obladi Oblada was the theme song for a TV show
with Patti LuPone. I thought it was a great tune. Didn't even know
it was the work of the Beetles. Not to be confused with the work of the
    Weavers.

OK; songs with repetition. Any song with yodeling. Any song with a chorus.

Oops! I see I posted Blue Christmas, but GB beat me to it. Well, as somebody
said, Kathrine Hepburn in The Lion in Winter maybe, "These things
happen in the best of families."

Blowing in the Wind; Roll On, Columbia
Coming 'Round the Mountain, Our Town

    Infamous Angel, Moon River
City of New Orleans, Bless This House

    Hi everybody!

GB, hope you're feeling a bit better today, and I hope your pain eases. Fingers crossed.

Mikie, you made me chuckle, about songs popping into your head during the night. LOL Same thing happens to me.

I have a notepad, and jot songs down. Then look up the lyrics to see if they apply to this thread. Is that what you do, Rock, Patti, et al.??

    Here are some more songs:

    SHE LOVES YOU, The Beatles

"She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah
She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"

I GOT YOU BABE, Sonny & Cher

    "Babe
    I got you babe
    I got you babe"
