I always had the muscles in the neck and throat affected with pain and weakness. Now, sometimes crumbs are sticking in the esophagus, like a pocket has formed. Should I see the doctor? I eat bread to try to push it down, but it's still there. I drink to try to get it to move. Eventually, it works it's way down.

Anyone else have this irritating problem?

I think I will get it checked out. I havn't been there for awhile anyway. I like to get the CBC done every two years or so.

kellygirl ... it could also be an indication of a thyroid problem ... that is how my first symptom appeared .. trouble swallowing .. had a sensation there was a lump inside my throat ... it graduated to feeling like I was being choked at times .. so ask about thyroid testing !
    Good Luck !

I'll let you know if I learn of anything from the doctor. He may just send me and have a scope down my throat, I don't know...........I think doctors are as puzzled as we are sometimes with the symptoms that pop up.
