    HEY GUYS
I AM NEW TO THE BOARD. I WAS DX WITH CHRONIC FATIGUE IN DEC, OF 2000. I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON MY SS DISABILITY SINCE THEN. CAN ANY ONE TELL ME IF THIS IS NORMAL, ITS BEEN ALMOST 3 YEARS. I HAVE HAD AN ATTORNEY AFTER THE 1ST REFUSAL OF MY CLAIM.
THE SPECIALIST I SEE TOLD ME THAT I HAD HYPERCOAGULATION PROBLEM FROM THE HH6 B VIRUS, WHICH WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FATIGUE AND SHORTNESS OF BREATH. HE PUT ME ON 5000 IU,S OF HEPERIN AND TANSFER FACTOR 6 MONTHS AGO. I STILL HAVE THE FATIGUE BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS DURING MY DOWN DAYS. IN THE PAST I WOULD HAVE 2 OR 3 GOOD DAYS AND THEN BE IN BED FOR 4 OR 5 DAYS WITH SOAR MUSCLES AND JOINT PAIN.
SOME OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS THINK I AM JUST BEING LAZY BECAUSE I HAVE WORKED ALL OF MY LIFE AND I DO NOT LOOK SICK. ANY ONE FAMILIAR WITH THIS KIND OF TREATMENT ?
THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE. BE WELL

Hi, I do not suffer from CFS so can't really give you advice there but I wanted to say welcome and I'm sure someone will be able to answer your questions. It is hard to deal with being in pain but looking just fine. People just don't understand. I'm one of the luckier sufferers of fibromyalgia as I can work and do most things without being in too much pain for it but I do have pain somewhere everyday. I hope you start feeling better and welcome to this board.

I don't have CFS, but FMS. It sounds like you have both to me. I haven't had to deal with any hypercoagulation, but hopefully someone can help you. I haven't been treated by my family like that, and I always worked too. I did get the pamphlet about FMS from the Arthritis Foundation and handed it out to them anyway. They all thought it was good information. God Bless!

Hi Merry, welcome to our world. I also have FM and not CFS, but we do have mega members who have one or both.

We do have a board just for 'Transfer Factor', if you go to the 'Message boards' at the top of this page, you can check in there too and see how it is helping others. Its also sold here at Pro Health.

Oh yes, most of us can relate at one time or the other with family and friends not thinking we are sick, because we 'don't look sick'! It goes along with the illness I guess.

Again, welcome to the board, and hope we hear from you often.

    Shalom, Shirl

PS, if you don't mind, please go to the left top of this page and read; 'Messageboard Rules', it will help with knowing what is acceptable on the boards and whats not.
    Thank you.
