And... Welcome. So Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I too am fairly new. It seems the first few months were the worst for me. I went through all of the stages of grief. Didn't realize what was happening until I got through it. Just had to greive the Old me I guess.

You will find so much information and support here. We all know and understand almost anything you go through. I live in the country and am very isolated all day while my husband is at work. I have found I really value this time alone. Just don't want to be around people when I don't feel well.

Do you have a FM specialist or a rhuematologist? I was referred to a rhuemy who manages my pain meds. I take lexapro for anxiety/depression, avinza (time released morphine) and vicodin for the breakthrough pain. I also have major tailbone and back problems that complicate the FM. This combo of meds seems to help me but each person is different. I think you will find it is trial and error to find what helps you the most.

When I am having the worst day possible I always just keep telling myself: "this will eventually pass". "I will get through it". Just coming here sometimes really helps me too. I don't feel like I'm the only one that feels all this stuff.

I sure wish you the best and will add you to my prayers. Love your name, I had a doll when I was little I named Sunshine and I treated her like she was alive.

All the best to you and hang in there. Each day, hour, moment will be different.

    Soft Hugs,
    Jenny

I'm sorry you have to deal with FM, but you have come to the right place. This board is full of the latest research and treatments. I attribute my improved health to everything I have learned here.

Also, this is a great place to come to when you are feeling "beat up" from the normals of the world. Unconditional support is offered here to all of us who are affected by CFS/FM.

Nice to meet you. I hope you are having a good day.
