I'm glad you have found this site. It is great for support and informtation. I'm sorry that you are sick at such a young age but it's good to hear that you are improving. There are several others around your age on the site. Perhaps you can connect with them.

    Take Care
    Kathy.

Hey rick. I know understanding doctors are a rare thing with chronic fatigue syndrome. It took a long long time, though certainly not as long as you... went through like five doctors who were completly stupid. Then I found one of the two good cfs specialist in my state and she was wonderful. She surveyed my symptoms took a ton of tests and diagnosed becuase it had been so long. She was the one who got me up and going because of medication called "proamitine." It raises blood pressure and regardless of inconvienant side effects, it has really helped me. Sadly she died recently in a scuba diving accident. So my mom and i grudge this trek alone. I am so sorry it took so long for you to get diagnosed. I wish you much healing and that you find a great doctor. RIP Doctor Robinson. I hope there are other extrodinary doctors out there. thanks for your message. Cfs is so frustrating.... Mst people are like 'its not real, ur lieng" etc. Hope it will get recognition soon- did you hear about that study that found a link from cfs with genetics? I will post a link soon. anyway that was long.chow- kim
