A woman whose path continually crosses mine mentioned to me yesterday (after not seeing her for months) that she had greatly improved after being tested for Lyme with the above test.

Previously all her Lyme titers had come back negative. It was not until she had this test done, did positive results show up.

Her physician has been treating her for Lyme although she was bitten approximately 15 years ago. She says her FMS symptoms have greatly improved.

Anyone out there have this test done?

Please keep this post bumped to get everyone's input.

    Fondly, June

I have had the test done. To the best of my knnowledge I think Dr. Striker a Lyme specialist in San Francisco developed this test for patients that have a Lyme test that is inconclusive. When the Cd-57 is low as in around 60 are below it points to lyme along with lyme testing. My test score was 66. They can monitor the improvement of the patient as the cd-57 moves higher.

I have not had this test done, but did have an NK lab done. Mine was 5.6 in a reference range of 20-50. It will be interesting to monitor as I go through Lyme treatment. My Dr. is aware that an improved NK count can indicate good progress in the treatment. We haven't yet talked specifically about the CD57, but I'll put it on my list!

    Thanks,

When I read the above post I wrote, I confused even me.

The woman I referred to had been tested multiple times over the years for Lyme and the tests came back negative.

After getting a positive test result with the CD57, her doctor THEN began treatment for Lyme and she felt better.

Hoping to hear from more folks who have had this test done.

    Hi June,

I had the test done (I was 34, ref range is 60-360), which made sense given that I had a positive Western Blot for Lyme (Igenex did the WB). Get a lab order from your MD and have draw done at Labcorp. My insurance paid for the test.

hope this new test will help others get a dx.or at least rule it out

.. altho I guess no test is perfect.

    Thanks for posting!

And it came out OK. So that is a relief.

It seems credible. One has to watch a lot of the Lyme tests as some are better than others. Good news she is doing better.

    Thanks for replying.

I am a medical transcriptionist at a hospital, and have yet to come across this test.

I had a bull's eye ring, gee, 30 years ago. At that time, Lyme was not "discovered."

I never knew the immune system gave up and the titers went back to normal, so when we are tested conventionally, we may test negative.

    This is worth investigating.

    Thanks again, June
