My sister was a few months ago diagnosed with Fibro and in tremendous pain for years. We were referred to a specialist but 2 months to get in. She is on 125 mg amyltriptolene, 1700 mg gabapentin and 6 percs a day and still cries in tremendous pain. This weekend is very bad and she is ready to give up... Not sure what to ask the Gp that w will go back to see in a week. Any suggestions of medications?
Thank you again it is hard for both of us

I am sorry to hear about the struggles your sister is going through. I am sure you will get a lot of information about the different meds. Right now my pain is manageable on Ultram and mobic. I am more bothered by fatigue, it is bone crushing, that is the only word I can describe.

I am going to see a pain management specialist. I resisted at first because I thought all the did was take away your pain meds and have you meditate! I was wrong, so your sister might want to get a referral from her GP for one.

As for what to tell him? Tell him EXACTLY what is going on. The level of pain, the crying, all of it. If he feels overwhelmed treating this, get a referral.
