The past 2 weeks when I sleep (not very often as y'all can

understand) I have been having horrible nightmares. They

all different except for one thing. In all of them in

some way I am being beaten! And I mean severly! With

sticks and thrown stones! And when I wake up I can

barely move for the pain! It's much worse than the

horrible pain I live with daily. And stays that way for

about an hour, in which I just lay there and cry because

moving any part of me is excruciating! It's so severe I

can barely breath and moving is totally out of the

question! Now as little as I am able to sleep

I won't let myself at all! Anyone else have something

similar? And if so, how do you cope? And does it go away

    after a while?

I'm soooo tired from no sleep!!!

I have similar dreams very often. Violent, where I am on the receiving end of violence. I believe the thing that is 'beating/hurting/attacking' us is our disease, disgused as many morphed villains. We are on the receiving end of the attack, of course. I've been shot at so many times in my dreams I feel as though I died a hundred deaths.

Amazing how our subconscious mind works.

P.S. Advil Pm's usually knock me out so good I have a dream free night!

Are you on any meds? I know that nightmares is a side effect of some of them. Elavil or amitriptyline (sp?) did that to me. Then my doc told me that's a common side effect.
No thank you. Not going to be miserable when I'm finally getting away from it all and getting some sleep!!!!

It really helps to know I'm not alone or going crazy!

Was up all night again afraid to sleep. But after reading

y'alls suggestions I felt better. I slept most of the day

and feel great. Or at least great for me!!! LOL LOL

    Thanks again.

Helped the vivid dreams, I miss them though. Maybe it could help you out. Do you meditate or do some form of relaxation before bed and after you wake? It's easy and helps.

when I have severe pain through the night I always have nightmares as if my brain is trying to explain why I'm in terrible pain.

I take a pain killer before I go to sleep and through the night if necessary.

Also check your medication - I cannot take any sleep remedies with Valerian and I was once on a anti-depressant a few years back that caused me to have around 5 nightmares a night. That was when they thought anti-depressants were the answer to our DD.

Hope you get over this, I know how horrific this can be.
