Hi - I haven't been officially dx'd with Fibro - but have been tested for lupus, MS, allergies, rhumatoid arthritis and pretty much everything under the sun - all my tests have come back as "normal". This has been going on for over 5 yrs.

I have constant pain (have had most of my life - I'm 42), I also have problems with sleep, rashes (so bad that wearing clothes hurts), IBS (undiagnosed of course). And just recently I was dx'd with skin cancer, which they managed to get on the second excision so am clear of that for now.

I am currently waiting out my days until I see a neurologist. I guess my question is "is that the right specialist to see?" I have seen dermatologists for the rash, a rhumatologist for the pain etc, an internalist to try and put everything together but to no avail. I live in Canada and will probably have lots more questions as time goes by. But from what I have read - fibromyalgia seems to fit all my complaints.

Anyway I hope to get to know you in the future and look forward to all your wisdom about fibro!

Welcome to the board. I am sorry to hear that you have been in pain so long.

It seems hard to say which specialist is correct as we all seem to be diagnosed by different doctors. Most are diagnosed by Rheumy as far as I know tho. My regular doctor dx'd me.
