We've had a book club here on the chit chat board for 2-3 years. It is
inactive right now as Ken, our leader, is not up to taking charge.

I've been thinking about starting up again, but between little energy and
computer problems, haven't done a thing.

Feel free to start a book club thread here if you like.

You started a thread when you did your first post regarding the book club. "Thread"
just means posts on a certain topic. Click on "Post Topic" and away you go.

Our book club had no rules. People didn't even have to read the book of the
month. They could post on a different book by the same author or a book
that was similar or whatever they liked.

I suggest for a title something like: Book Lovers, Book Club.

Then you could ask what people are reading and discuss whatever book
you're reading now. But if you like, I'll start it. Just thought we might get
more response if someone new gets things started.

I am always reading 3 or 4 books. Switch back and forth. Currently reading
two thrillers, a book of memories by Jean Shepherd and a book of funny
rants about this, that and the other thing.

Don't get out much anymore, but can still use books as a magic carpet.

I love to read, its like a fantasy, or getaway from reality, not that real life is bad, but sometimes mundane. I too love to have more than one good story on the go at a time, my friends wonder how is this possible, but I say, its no different than watching many t.v. shows in a week, just different ones to focus on at a time. right now I am reading Kelly Armstrong series...women of the otherworld, about werewolves, withches, and demons.... way cool. also reading Testimony, by Anita Shreve, and just finished the Twilight series... it was awsome! Vampires!

    take care.
thanks for your time and input.
