Havent posted on boards for some time..much going on.
Had FMS since I was 17 (now 64) I do know patience is a vertue with FMS, but what's new. Saw a Rhum. and she was from psyco world. Never offered anything except "Sometimes You just Gotta work through" After all htese years I do not need a Docotr with attitude.

Just wondering what the latest treatments are? Anyone?

I just love how DRs say that one "Work through it" and another one ... exercise/walk more. Sometimes I can't even stand up! Geesh!

I think I have had problems with FMS since childhood but the major problems began really showing up in my 20s (I will be 55 in March).

I have a top notch Rheumy (in my area) and he has me on zoloft (depression), gabapentin, a musle relaxer, and tramadol (which is useless).

Some people are having good results with Lyrica (I didn't). Cymbalta helped minimally as did Effexor.

At the beginning of this page is a thread "List your good DRs here" ... perhaps you can locate a better DR in your area.

    Best wishes to you.
