Hi all! I have heard of an Ontario Disability Credit, but I don't know anything about it. How do you apply for it, and are there alot of forms to fill out?
    Thank you.

the person who does your tax for you should know about the Ontario Disability Credit (accountant) If you do your tax yourself, it might be worth haveing someone take care of this for you. There is a form that has to be filled out. It also depends if you are receiving income from one or two other places (i.e. Ontario Disability Pension and private Insurance Company). Nice to hear from someone from Canada. Contact me anytime. I've been through this many, many years.

I am very familiar with the ins and outs of disability pensions in Ontario, both private and government. If you would like I can lead you through it. Left a post on yours dated the 4th = who is your specialist? I know quite a few. Will go on line in the morning. (FRI_

LOL I think we are playing tag here!
I am the one who does my own taxes, unfortunately! I have already filed this year. I don't suspose I can reapply? Would it make any difference? Right now, I am waiting to get the $$ from EI, I have been approved for 15 weeks. It took longer as I did not apply right away when I went off work. I had short term dis. from work then. As far as long term, well I will re apply to that as soon as my SLOW doctor fills out yet another form. I told him he must make it idiot proof for Manu Life!

I will check back on here later today and tomorrow too.

You can submit additional forms to the tax department and they will assess whether you qualify.
