    Hi again!

I had a bone density test yesterday. They have a chart the computer prints out that shows a green section (happy place), a yellow section (hum, place), and a red place (YIKES) on the chart.

My spine looked like it was just drifting down from the green toward the yellow, but far enough away from it to be in the "normal" range for my age (52).

But, my hips were at the bottom of the yellow dropping into the red (guess that would be orange!).

Technician mentioned meds! I'm just getting of Estridiol and will start to taper off the Effexor next month. I don't want anymore!

I will start taking calcium, but I just hate to start another med!

    Any suggestions, experiences?

Your bones need more than just calcium. I know you need vitamin D and some magnesium to absorb the calcium. You also need to have to correct ratio of calcium to magnesium. Plus several other minerals as well.

I suggest that you research bone mineral needs, supplement accordingly, and retest in 6 month to a year.
