This is my first Off Topic Post.

I joined this board a little over a month ago. I already feel I have gotten to know many of you from your posts. I would like to get to know you better. You are worth knowing!!

I feel movies can reflect who we are. Three of my favorite movies are:

    1. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
    2. Harold and Maude
    3. It’s a Wonderful Life

I think these movies show that I have a bit of a twisted sense of humor (okay—more than just a bit). They also show I like to look for the good part of life, especially when faced with a dark situation. I could list a hundred more movies I love, but I won’t torture you.

What are 3 of your favorite movies?

I love the new movies that are coming out, but my favorite are ones I saw as a younger...

    1. My Fair Lady

    2. Camelot

    3. Funny Girl

All musicals. Loved them. I did love Shawshank Redemption, and so many others I can't even remember. But, my heart belongs to the musicals...the 60's musicals. Ah, those were the days.

Fun topic, Katy. Thanks for starting this post.

It is interestng to see what movies people enjoy !
I'm a scifi nut .. has to be a good story line and special affects though.
Old black and white movies .. like " The Devil and Miss Jones" about a millionaire department store owner who disguises himself as an employee to discover who is trying to start a union for the workers .. "Gone With The Wind" .. awesome ones like that as well.
And ..... I'll confess ... The Three Stooges ... they make me laugh !
    I'm a nut Fudge : )

Hi Mother of Twins....I too am the mother of twins. Although lots older than you. MY girls are 49 years old! Beautiful girls just as yours are.I also have two boys, one old and one younger.

Now I like the old musicals:
    Singing in the rain
    An American in Paris
    The sound of music

I also like mysteries and one of my all time favorites is "Of human Bondage" ( maybe that was a book!) LOL, spmary

I forgot to say that I like many of the ones you others mentioned. I went to the movies every time the shows changed, and fell in live with Frank Sinatra, etc. Mary

Even tho I mostly enjoy chick flick movies, the movie that really meant a lot to me was "Not without my daughter" with Sally Field. It is succeeding under adverse conditions. Some day I would like to read her story. The movie fascinates me. E.

Wow, those are some good movies! Some of my favorites, also!

Hey, no one says we have to keep it to 3!

I like the idea of breaking it into categories, Drama, Sci-Fi, Comedy, etc.

Here are 3 more of my favs I haven't seen listed yet:

--Young Frankenstein (I think it was Abby Normal)
    --Raising Arizona
--The Producers (the original with Zero Mostel & Gene Wilder).

    Keep 'em comin!!
