I know a lot of us here felt the same way I did about Steve so I thought I would pass this information along. I have been on the Steve Irwin board all this week and finally enough of us emailed and Animal Planet is going to televise the event. Here is the copy of the email I received from them today.

    Dear Viewer,

All of us at Discovery Communications are deeply saddened at the tragic and
sudden loss of Steve Irwin. He was a member of the Discovery family and
will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Irwin
    family.

Animal Planet will televise Steve Irwin’s memorial service exclusively in
the U.S., commercial free, on Tuesday, September 19, from 9-10pm ET/PT.

Steve was beloved by millions of fans and animal lovers around the world
and was one of our planet's most passionate conservationists. He was a
professional dedicated to educating people, and his legacy will be in
making natural history more accessible to people around the world.

In remembrance of Steve, the link below will help you obtain more
information regarding contributions and provide an opportunity to share
your thoughts and feelings by posting comments on the fansite. Special
airings of the Croc Hunter are scheduled this week, as well as programming
tributes highlighting Steve’s background, including his early days as the
Croc Hunter, and his passion for wildlife and his family.

I knew the memorial would be on Wednesday at the Australia Zoo, but I didn't know if it would be on TV or not. Since they are about 14 or so hours ahead of us, I can see it being at this time of night.

Again thanks so much as I would have probably missed the show.

    Hugs,
    Faye
