This isn't FM related, so please feel free to skip it.

Today, March 10, is my one-year anniversary of my Leukemia diagnosis. I've been kinda dreading this day, made a little tougher by my daughter and husband both having to be out of town.

However, last week the little elementary school I work at participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Pennies for Patients" fundraiser; I work at a Title I school in a low-income neighborhood, so fundraisers in general don't raise much. I spoke to all the classes individually about blood cancers, showed a couple of quick videos tailored for the different age groups. Our goal was $500.

By the end of the week, the kids had raised $1400! I'm so proud of them for getting behind this effort on my behalf (the $$ is being donated in my name).

It has made a tough day a little easier for me.

I know this is WAY off-topic, thanks for the indulgence. And I wish everyone a pain-free (or as near as it can get) weekend!!

I am thinking of starting organic too. Any good on-line sites on the subject?
