Well, I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder yesterday. The doc at the hospital also ordered a liver and pancreas ultrasound (no extra cost to me); it all came out normal.

So, Monday morning I am having a HIDA scan. They said it will take about 1.5 hours; injecting radioactive dye; then CCK (some chemical our bodies make after we eat to induce the gallbladder to contract). I wonder if I'll fall asleep?

I just don't know what to think about my GI problems (upper GI) . . .

I've had the HIDA scan. It isn't that bad. I lived to tell the story!

They checked everything in me, and even took out my gallbladder. Needlessly. What they told me was IBS was Gastropareis. It's more rare.

I have many upper GI problems. Not to fun!

I'm not sure what they are looking for with you, but I wish you the best of luck. If there are any questions, and I know the answers, please let me know!
