    I think I saw a recipe somewhere to cook oatmeal overnight in a crockpot.

    Anyone know how to do this?

    I've been eating steel cut oats, but they take 30 minutes to cook, would be easier on early mornings if they were already cooked and ready to eat.

    Thanks for any help with this!

    You might just have to do trial and error with this.

    I have a recipe for the slow cooker for;
    Creamy Old-Fashioned Oatmeal

    cooks on low, for 6hrs.

    1 1/3C. old-fashioned rolled oats
    2 1/2C. Water (plus a T. spoon)
    dash salt

    serves 4

    You could do the same thing with steel cut oats, couldn't you? Maybe add alittle more water than your normal recipe and cook low for 8 to 9 hours.

    Just experiment a little.

    Good luck

    I appreciate the recipe. Probably would need to add more water, as the steel cut oats require more than rolled oats, but I'll give it a try.

    Thank you!
