No doubt, most of us--especially the chronically housebound, bored, or computer addicted--spend a lot of time online. What are your five favorite sites--not necessarily health related--but just sites you enjoy looking at? On which sites do you spend the most time, and why?

By the way, Moderators: we are allowed to name websites, so long as they don't sell products which compete with this site, correct?

Recently, my favorite websites have been:

    1. Immune Support--message boards (this board is one of my few links to the outside world most of the time; it is invaluable!)

    2. YouTube.com (great variety of videos--see STML's recent post about this site)

    3. MSN.com (my favorite site for news, etc.)

    4. Google Earth (actually a free program, not a website, but it's a lot of fun--satellite photos of places around the world).

    5. MSN Games: (Text Twist and many other great games)

Well they're all medical or news related. I pretty boring...LOL

    1. http://www.medscape.com/businessmedicine?cid=med

Medscape is my most visited site for work, medication, studying, health related issues, research, and health related news.

    2. I use several medical coding message boards such as Coder Net, Coder to Coder, Coding & Reimbursement Network, Just Coding, Medical Association of Billers. For medical Transcription I use MT Desk/MT Chat.

(I will not the URLs it is against the rules to post URLs to other message boards).

    3. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ United States Nation Library of Medicine-National Institutes of Health (great site).

    4. http://www.cms.hhs.gov/ The business and coding side of Medicare.

    5. Pro-Health which I have become hooked on because everyone is so nice and supportive....LOVE IT! :)

What a great question and as usual I could not play by the rules...LOL

I do not visit any of these sites as often as I would like to though-I just wish I had more time.

Yes actually I do have fun at these sites. What can I say I am a little odd...LOL

This type of reading fascinates and the time just zips by although there are days when I have a hard time and have to read everything a couple of times.

The medical coding boards I love and have belong to for years but haven't been on them a lot lately. I have a blast on those and plan to return which means I may have to give up some of my time here I am sorry to say.

I do have my Dean Koontz books for a different kind of entertainment...LOL

Wow, this is a great post; many ideas about other websites to visit from the responses.

I don't have 5 but here are mine:

    1. Here, of course, would be my no. 1.

    2. Food Network is my 2nd.

    3. Yahoo Games, Text Twist, is my 3rd.

I am going to visit a couple that I saw on this post.

    Thank you,
